China has announced its intention to bolster strategic communication and enhance practical cooperation with Russia during the visit of Nikolai Patrushev, a Russian Presidential Aide and Chairman of Russia’s Maritime Board. This announcement was made by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, who emphasized the opportunity to deepen bilateral ties and strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership.
Mao Ning highlighted the recent strengthening of relations between China and Russia, characterized by increased political trust, closer strategic coordination, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. The visit marks Patrushev’s first trip to China in his capacity as Chairman of Russia’s Maritime Board. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet with Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, along with other Chinese officials.
