Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia Forge Promising Economic Alliance, Says Chief Executive

This initiative was articulated by Chief Executive John Lee during a meeting with Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha. The discussions coincided with LEAP East, a prominent international technology exhibition being hosted in Hong Kong for the first time outside the Middle East.

The event, LEAP East, has attracted hundreds of speakers and exhibitors from various parts of the world, underscoring the increasing global cooperation within the technology sector. Hosting such a significant event marks a milestone in the expanding relationship between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia, reinforcing Hong Kong’s strategic position as a vital conduit for international businesses aiming to access Asian markets.

During the meeting, John Lee invited Saudi companies, entrepreneurs, and technology professionals to leverage Hong Kong as a springboard for expanding their operations and presence in Asia. He highlighted the promising prospects for enhanced collaboration in areas such as innovation, technology, and investment, aiming to create a mutually beneficial partnership.
