This initiative was articulated by Chief Executive John Lee during a meeting with Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha. The discussions coincided with LEAP East, a prominent international technology exhibition being hosted in Hong Kong for the first time outside the Middle East.

The event, LEAP East, has attracted hundreds of speakers and exhibitors from various parts of the world, underscoring the increasing global cooperation within the technology sector.
