The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in emerging fields such as AI, aerospace, and clean energy, highlighting the leaders’ shared interest in pushing forward major connectivity projects.
Key among these projects is the acceleration of the China-Thailand railway and additional rail links connecting China, Laos, and Thailand. The emphasis on infrastructure aims to boost regional connectivity and economic integration, aligning with both nations’ strategic interests in fostering growth through enhanced transportation links.
Both leaders also committed to intensifying their efforts against cross-border crimes, such as online gambling and telecommunications fraud, which have been growing concerns in the region. In addition to security, they underlined the importance of bolstering partnerships in tourism, education, and media, recognizing these areas as vital components of their bilateral relationship.
Thailand reiterated its support for the one-China policy during the talks, reinforcing its diplomatic alignment with Beijing. Furthermore, both countries emphasized their intention to pursue peaceful resolutions to regional challenges, including issues like the Thailand-Cambodia border situation, underscoring their commitment to stability and cooperation in Southeast Asia.
